Ruth A. Senger Hunger

Senger Hunger, 90, of Dillsboro, IN, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in Dillsboro, Indiana.She was born Sunday, September 5, 1926 in York Township-Aurora, Indiana, daughter of the late Lee L. Senger and the late Hilda Margaret Zimmerman Senger.Ruth worked for Teaneys Grocery for 5 years and Schenley for 9 years before moving to becoming an Inspector for Thatcher Glass MFG, retiring after over 30 years of service. Ruth was an Aurora High School Graduate of 1944. She was a life time member of St John’s Lutheran Church Aurora and also attended grade school at St. John Lutheran School.Surviving are children, Carolyn (late Daniel) Ann Davis Harcourt of Dillsboro, IN., Karen (Eddie) Marie Sharp of Harrison, OH., Robert L. (Pat) Hunger of Moores Hill, IN; brother, Alvin L. (Darlene) Senger of Aurora, IN; grandchildren, Daniel Walter Harcourt II of Schaumberg, IL., Jason E Sharp of Ross, OH., Jessica Padgett of Akron, OH., Lyndsay Rensing of Houston, TX., Mariah Hunger of Lawrenceburg, IN; great-grandchildren, Addyson Padgett, Taylor Sharp, Gabriel Rensing and Julienne Rensing; nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Dewey W. Davis, Norman C. Hunger and Edward P. Kuhlman and sister Griselda Baum.Friends will be received 12:00 -2:00 pm Monday, April 10, 2017 at the St. John Lutheran Church, 220 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.Services will be held at 2:00 pm, following visitation, also at the Church, with Pastor Edward Davis officiating.Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, IN 47001.Contributions may be made to the St. John’s Lutheran Church or Dillsboro Life Squad.
